Long time no see...

So I haven't updated this in a while and I figure now's better than never. I recently submitted a small portfolio of work for review to get an Art Center at Night scholarship, and hey I got it. :) Pretty cool, feels like I'm making a step. I've included a few of the digital pics, I unfortunately don't have the other half scanned since they were 35mm. Well hope you enjoy.

I need to invest in a negative scanner... but until I get them scanned this is half of the portfolio. The only pic I didn't submit was the last one, because it was a bit blurry, but I still liked it.

Until next time, take it easy.

Just barely too late in a galaxy far, far away.

Mr. Lucas, please don't sue me. Shepard Fairey, eat your heart out.

I plan on making some prints, but not selling them since that would be hardcore copyright infringement not to mention a bit wrong since it's not my original concept. Let me know what you think.

Well of course as the few that knew my idea warned me, I did not get it out in time. I'll admit I'm more fond of my version, but I have to give the guy credit for being quick about it. Anyway check out David Friedman's version at

While working on a simple halftone project I cranked out a poster that I'm pretty happy with. Overall it was really fluid when it came down to the concept.
The girl is from an original picture, the font is from http://www.dafont.com/frigate-katakana.font and the sun is from obvious inspiration. I had a bit of fun with this one and I'm pleased with how it turned out, regardless of it being so simple. I'll be running it on the press soon so unfortunately no prints are available as of the moment but I'll keep you updated.

Some old work...

I've posted some older work just to get the ball rolling. I have already started planning an actual website but for now since I'm a bit broke a blog will have to do.

Out of all the project that I've done in photoshop, this is one of my favorites. It is a composite of 5 different original digital photographs. The original pictures can be dug up upon request.

This one is from a series of poster concepts using the font Bodoni. The idea was to promote the font while including the name of the font, the creator's name, and the date it was created in. During the entire project I was rather determined to use some kind of pattern in the poster, which I felt was rather sucessful. The other 2 concepts can be viewed upon request.

This image is a personal project from a couple years back. It was originally intended to be a one color print on paper which later turned into aspirations to print it onto tshirts. Unfortunately the tshirt project fell through but I do have several paper prints laying around.

Just getting started.

So I'm totally new to this, and I'm not much of a blogger to boot but very soon I'll have some pictures up and maybe a few musings here and there. As far as first posts go this is not very dynamic by any means but it gets the point across.

That's it for now, there will be more to come soon.
